Jean d’Amérique is a Haitian playwright, novelist and rapper who lives in Paris. Much acclaimed in all genres, he received many awards, including the Prix Montluc Résistance et Liberté for A Sun to Be Sewn (Other Press, 2023). His recent play Opéra poussière (éditions Théâtrales, 2022) was selected by Cross-Channel Theatre (Institut français du Royaume-Uni) and Artcena/Contxto (French Ministry of Culture) to be translated to English in view of being produced in the UK.
